Set of Two Candlesticks

Rescued Imbuia wood. Two hand-turned candle holders.

One has a diagonally cut surface: the lathe met the wood, and the wood responded, leaving fissures, exposed fibers, and natural reliefs that merge with the work and enhance its beauty.
The other was turned in progressive rings until an hourglass shape emerged.

Two objects that don't look alike, but came from the same process: listening to what the wood suggests.
