ARAKÛMA — Guardian of Returning Time

Singular sculptures. Ancestral names. Silent purposes.

They do not guard things; they guard what is lost: the right word, the forgotten path, the healing gesture, the memory of a precious moment.

ARAKÛMA

Arakûma was born when the first encounter between sun and moon covered the earth with a silent twilight. Her body holds the memory of that moment, when even rivers slowed their rhythm to listen to the darkening sky.

Since then, she has walked invisibly among the cycles of time, gathering excess light and heavy shadows. When an eclipse approaches, Arakûma awakens. She reminds us that every shadow is temporary.

All pieces in the Guardians Collection are born from reclaimed wood — sometimes on paper, sometimes directly on the wood. The form appears, and then comes the story — my text, written for each sculpture.

Each Guardian comes with its certificate of authenticity, attesting to its origin, history, and authorship.
