When I started working with reclaimed wood, the first thing I wanted to make was jewelry: the wood seemed so alive that the natural impulse was to carry it close to the body. Everything that came after was born from that initial gesture.
What is wood jewelry?
Necklaces, earrings, rings, and bracelets made entirely or partly with reclaimed wood: scraps left over from other pieces, fragments donated by other artisans, remains of trees fallen due to natural causes.
Nothing is wasted. What would be discarded becomes an adornment.
Why wood is the protagonist
Some pieces combine metal or stone, but the star is always wood. It is the only material that lives with the wearer: it absorbs the environment, the skin, the light. It has a unique grain, color, and texture, so each piece of jewelry delivered is unrepeatable.
It's not a sales pitch; it's a characteristic of the material.
How they are made
I select the fragment by its character: a knot, a color variation, a suggestive shape. Then I sculpt, sand progressively, and finish with natural oil and wax, which enhance the grain without hiding it.
I don't use glossy varnish: I prefer the wood to breathe and for the wearer to feel the real texture.
